How it Works
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is an outlet for consumers to buy fresh, local flowers directly from our farm. We offer various subscription options to our local community with in season flowers throughout late spring, summer and fall. Your investment in the 2021 program supports our farm and helps us to buy seeds and other farm tools throughout the growing season. Every season some flowers will do better than others. This is the nature of farming. As partners, CSA members and farmers share the risk and rewards inherent with working with nature! We grow a wide diversity of flowers to create unique and bountiful bouquets for our members.
Local Sustainable Blooms
All of our CSA flowers are grown locally in the Cowichan Valley. We grow our flowers by creating a foundation of healthy soil and applying regular foliar sprays of compost tea extract. We do not use any synthetic pesticides or herbicides on our flowers. We value the importance of selecting flowers to support pollinators. For more information on our growing practices click here.
Season Length
Our CSA subscription season runs from mid-June through early October (16 weeks).
CSA Options
Our CSA bouquets are hand-crafted with care using our first pick fresh harvested flowers. Flower varieties will change during the season, starting with cooler season blooms progressing into summer and fall blooms. Flower care tips will be included with all subscriptions to optimize vase life, which is typically around 5 to 9 days depending on the flower variety.

Subscription Duration
Weekly – Fresh flowers every week over a 16 week duration for a total of 16 bouquets.
Bi-weekly – Fresh flowers every other week for a 16 weeks duration for a total of 8 bouquets.
Monthly – Fresh flowers monthly for a total of 4 bouquets. Begins in July.
Flowers for a Month (4 week subscription) – Fresh flowers every week for the month of your choosing (July, August or September). This options makes a great gift (e.g. birthday, anniversary, mother’s day, passing of a loved one or wedding).
Mid-Season (8 week subscription) – Fresh flowers every week from Mid-July to Mid-September.
Payment
You may pay using the following options: email money transfer to info.dancingdandelion@gmail.com or please call 250-510-7592 to arrange for payment in person by cash, credit card or cheque. You may pay in full or two installments. One payment is due at the time of sign-up and the second is due by June 15, 2021.
CSA Pick-Up
Members have the option of picking up bouquets directly from our farm in Duncan or we can provide delivery service for a small fee (deliveries limited and are expected to sell out). You will receive an email prior to the start of the share with pick-up time and location details and any additional information. Delivery
For your convenience we provide a bouquet delivery service for a small fee. Delivery within Duncan is $5.00 per bouquet drop-off. If you are outside of city limits and require delivery, please contact us for special delivery fee rates and frequency of delivery. The maximum delivery distance from our farm is 20 km.
